Project Update

Three quotations for the restoration work, and the purchase of a sixth bell, have been obtained. The Keltek Trust have offered to support the restoration and augmentation project by donating a secondhand bell that they have in stock. We have been advised that the bell is suitable as the proposed treble of the ring of six. The trust has also agreed to donate a set of fittings at an estimated cost of £3,200. The net effect is to “eliminate” the £6,242 for the addition of the treble from the Committee's preferred quotation. A very positive step in the right direction!

Allan Regan a nationally renowned bell ringer is willing to give a presentation on ’Bell Ringers Killed in WW1’ (Ringing Remembered) at no charge. This is proposed as a fund raising event inviting the local ringing community & members of the British Legion. Dates and venue to be advised, later. Niki Thomas has, also, volunteered to support our fund raising with a musical event possibly with the ‘Wind in the Willows ’ensemble.
